Oh! Oh! Antonio

In quaint native dress an Italian maid
Was deep in distress as the streets she strayed
Searching in every part for her false sweetheart
And his ice cream cart
Her English was bad it cannot be denied
And so to herself in Italian she cried

Oh! Oh! Antonio!
He’s gone away
Left me alone-e-o
All on my own-e-o
I want to meet him with his new sweetheart
Then up will go Antonio and his ice cream cart

So sad grew the plight of this fair young lass
She'd faint at the sight of an ice cream glass
She dreamed nigh every day he’d come back to stay
Then he’d fade away
Her old hurdy-gurdy all day she’d parade
And this she would sing to each tune that it played

Oh! Oh! Antonio!
He’s gone away
Left me alone-e-o
All on my own-e-o
I want to meet him with his new sweetheart
Then up will go Antonio and his ice cream cart

Oh! Oh! Antonio!
He’s gone away
Left me alone-e-o
All on my own-e-o
I want to meet him with his new sweetheart
Then up will go Antonio and his ice cream cart

Kelly From the Isle of Man

Has anybody here seen Kelly?
K-E-double-L-Y
Kelly! Kelly! Kelly! Kelly!
Kelly from the Isle of Man

Kelly and his sweetheart wore a very pleasant smile
As bent upon a holiday they went from Mona’s Isle
They landed safe in London, but alas it's sad to say
Poor Kelly lost his little girl up Piccadilly way
She searched for him in vain and then of course began to fret
And this is the appeal she made to everyone she met

Has anybody here seen Kelly?
K-E-double-L-Y
Has anybody here seen Kelly?
Find him if you can
He’s as bad as old Antonio
Left me on my own-e-o
Has anybody here seen Kelly?
Kelly from the Isle of Man

When it started raining she exclaimed “What shall I do?”
For Kelly had her ticket and her spending money too
She wandered over London like a hound upon the scent
At last she found herself outside the House of Parliament
She got among the suffragettes who chained her to the grill
And soon they heard her shouting in a voice both loud and shrill

Has anybody here seen Kelly?
K-E-double-L-Y
Has anybody here seen Kelly?
Find him if you can
He’s as bad as old Antonio
Left me on my own-e-o
Has anybody here seen Kelly?
Kelly from the Isle of Man

Has anybody here seen Florrie?
F-O-R-D-E
Has anybody here seen Florrie?
Find her if you can
For she’s not all skin and bone-e-o
And you bet it’s all her own-e-o
Has anybody here seen Florrie?
(What Florrie?)
Florrie from the Isle of Man!

I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside

Everyone delights to spend their summer’s holiday
Down beside the side of the silvery sea
I’m no exception to the rule, in fact, if I’d my way
I’d reside by the side of the silvery sea
But when you’re just the common or garden Smith or Jones or Brown
At business up in town, you’ve got to settle down
You save up all the money you can till summer comes around
Then away you go to a spot you know
Where the cockle shells are found

Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside
I do like to be beside the sea
I do like to stroll upon the Prom, Prom, Prom
Where the brass bands play, “Tiddely-om-pom-pom”
So just let me be beside the seaside
I’ll be beside myself with glee
And there’s lots of girls beside
I should like to be beside
Beside the seaside, beside the sea

Timothy went to Blackpool for the day last Eastertide
To see what he could see by the side of the sea
Soon as he reached the station there, the first thing he espied
Was the Wine Lodge door, stood open invitingly
To quench his thirst, he toddled inside, and called out for a “wine”
Which grew to eight or nine, till his nose began to shine
Said he, “What people see in the sea I’m sure I fail to see”
So he caught the train back home again, then to his wife said he

Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside
I do like to be beside the sea
I do like to stroll upon the Prom, Prom, Prom
Where the brass bands play, “Tiddely-om-pom-pom”
So just let me be beside the seaside
I’ll be beside myself with glee
And there’s lots of girls beside
I should like to be beside
Beside the seaside, beside the sea

William Sykes the burglar, he’d been out to work one night
Filled his bag with jewels cash and plate
Constable Brown felt quite surprised when William hove in sight
Said he, “The hours you’re keeping are far too late”
So he grabbed him by the collar and lodged him safe and sound in jail
Next morning looking pale, Bill told a tearful tale
The judge said, “For a couple of months I’m sending you away”
Said Bill, “How kind! Well if you don’t mind
Where I spend my holiday”

Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside
I do like to be beside the sea
I do like to stroll upon the Prom, Prom, Prom
Where the brass bands play, “Tiddely-om-pom-pom”
So just let me be beside the seaside
I’ll be beside myself with glee
And there’s lots of girls beside
I should like to be beside
Beside the seaside, beside the sea

Waltz Me Around Again Willie

Willie Fitzgibbons who used to sell ribbons,
And stood up all day on his feet,
Grew very spooney on Madeline Mooney,
Who’d rather be dancing than eat.
Each evening she’d tag him, to some dance hall drag him,
And when the band started to play,
She’d up like a silly and grab tired Willie,
Steer him on the floor and she’d say:

“Waltz me around again Willie, around, around, around;
The music is dreamy, it’s peaches and creamy,
Oh! don’t let my feet touch the ground.
I feel like a ship on an ocean of joy,
I just want to holler out loud, “Ship Ahoy!”
Oh! waltz me around again Willie, around, around, around.”

Willie De Vere was a dry goods cashier,
At his desk he would sit all the day,
Till his doctor advised him to start exercising,
Or he would soon fade away.
One night this poor looney met Madeline Mooney,
Fitzgibbons then shouted with joy,
“She’s a good health regainer, you’ve got a great trainer,
Just wait till she hollers my boy.”

“Waltz me around again Willie, around, around, around;
The music is dreamy, it’s peaches and creamy,
Oh! don’t let my feet touch the ground.
I feel like a ship on an ocean of joy,
I just want to holler out loud, “Ship Ahoy!”
Oh! waltz me around again Willie, around, around, around.”

Ship Ahoy!:

Down At The Old Bull And Bush

Come, come, come and make eyes at me
Down at The Old Bull and Bush
Come, come, have some port wine with me
Down at The Old Bull and Bush
Hear the little German band
Just let me hold your hand, dear
Do, do, come and have a drink or two
Down at The Old Bull and Bush

Talk about the shade of the sheltering palm
Praise the bamboo tree with its wide-spreading charm
There’s a little nook down near old Hampstead town
You know the place, it has won great renown
Often with my sweetheart on a bright summer’s day
To the little pub there my footsteps will stray
If she hesitates when she looks at the sign
Promptly I whisper “Now do not decline!”
But come…

Come, come, come and make eyes at me
Down at The Old Bull and Bush
Come, come, have some port wine with me
Down at The Old Bull and Bush
Hear the little German band
Just let me hold your hand, dear
Do, do, come and have a drink or two
Down at The Old Bull and Bush

Come along, boys!

Come, come, come and make eyes at me
Down at The Old Bull and Bush
(Da-da-da-da-da!)
Come, come, have some port wine with me
Down at The Old Bull and Bush
Bush, Bush! (Da-da-da-da-da-da…)
Hear the little German band
(La-da-la-la-la-la!)
Just let me hold your hand, dear
Do, do, come and have a drink or two
Down at The Old Bull and Bush
Bush, Bush!

(The Old Bull and Bush)を宣伝する歌に書き換えています。

The Old Bull and Bush:
